The Blacc Vanilla Blacc Tie Gala, which was a super dope event...

So being that I filmed some or most of the festivities, lemme tell you some of what I saw. And recorded. 1st off, congrats to my brother and longtime friend J'Rod & Melanie for conceiving the event and for Blacc Vanilla.

OK. Everyone looked fancy. Music was good, Thomas aka DJ Twist made folks move but lemme tell you. From someone who doesn't drink nor smokes and to watch what I saw! It was almost like a Netflix series in 1 night. A sci-fi dramedy. Vanilla Blacc. New York city-like feel in what some would call a "broken urban area in the suburbs," Newburgh, NY. Not knowing what to expect or feel or what and or who you'll see. But you arrive by the river during the day. Enter into a factory by riding up and freight elevator, not like livestock, but most are bringing their own branding. And it's nightlife.

The second door opens from the opposite side when you arrive at "the floor." Bam! You arrive in the center part of the open space, train-style floor decored like Blacc Vanilla with the paintings on the walls, people gathered throughout, darkly lit, fluorescent accents. Music on 1 end, a bar and table on the other with another bar area near the elevator. The vibe was good. The music was rocking along with a violinist chasing the rhythms of popular songs that Twist through out there, but she was the lead and attention of attention. Most were dancing. A few were doing or trying to do something similar. Some were self-injected with some liquid substances were NOT sport that enhancement drinks or anything else enhancing, but they were motivated. It was almost like they were hearing the lineup song from Bubble Guppies in their heads. "Line up everybody, line up, line up!" I had to take the camera away for a sec and look with my own visuals. I don't curse, but I was like "what kind of shitake mushrooms is that?" "She's doing something." "That guy is two arm swings from doing the robot." but I'm not judging. Just telling y'all what I saw and recorded. Because I was filming that night. Folks were appreciating their existence and others in this space, at that time. What was strange is normal and what is to be normal can be strange. Diversity.
